For those of you who have not made it out here this season, you are running out of excuses. Last week,
celebrating the release of his new cd, vocalist Dwight West and his group tore the place up.
Week after
week the lineup of artists has been great, the atmosphere has been wonderful. The only thing missing is you.
As we enter our 14th year of operation, we know you support us in spirit but we also need your physical and
financial support if we are to survive.
Through the miraculous, unstinting and voluntary efforts of our
music director, the great trumpeter Ahmed Abdullah, we present some of the greatest musicians in the world
here at prices you would pay two to three times as much for anywhere else in the city. The artists come here
because they believe it is important to support a black-owned venue and because they know that those who attend
love and give their undivided attention to the music. Our artists thrive off of your presence, energy and spirit.
